Clearly not a Tigers fan, or you could not forget the time he made 2 errors in 1 play in the World Series, how he completely whiffed in the HR Derby, the up-and-down inconsistency that required repeated trips back to the minors, and the fact that we couldn’t even trade him away to clear off the dead weight. But, yeah, that shoulder popping thing is cool. Too bad that doesn’t win you pennants.

So a 36 year old Inge coming off shoulder surgery, safe to say contract offers will be sparse. So does that mean Inge and Clemens will be eligible for HoF at the same time, I wonder who would get more votes.

surely the Giants can’t be happy about this A’s coverage encroaching on their territory?

Anyway, Inge should have done enough to warrant everyone’s respect or allocation of craziness for popping his own shoulder back in and finishing the game.

I don’t understand how people like mtheparrothead can attempt to belittle his achievements in playing to and maximising his strengths as opposed to what others perceive to be acceptable performance parameters which, either way, are beyond what most of us could achieve.

Inge will always be one of my favorite players. He is nothing but heart and hustle. Unfortunately that doesn’t leave much room for actually hitting the baseball. The guy is definitely a gamer, but that doesn’t mean he deserves a spot on the roster. I will still be rooting for him though.

People rag on this guy all the time, but dude is a gamer. He got sent down by the Tigers and came back to be an everyday player, working his ass off to get back to the show. Got released, signed by the A’s, and again – played his ass off.

You gotta like his hustle if nothing else.
