When you have an ERA of 5.85 for the year and 7.98 over your last 13 starts, with a K/BB mark of 110/90, you're not just unlucky. You stink, at least for this year.

Fangraphs is how we judge performances right?

2 up, 8 down. Either people disagree with Fangraphs' formula, or my bad english. "More than two and a half times" , became "twice as good", but I didn't change what I had previously written, so my post became what you would usually read on an Alabama Football website.

Also, I am a Rays fan. Hell Boy Gets SCREWED by Fangraphs. It is about time to rewrite that formula. Last years ROY is not the 4th worst pitcher in baseball.

I did not watch the beginning of the game, but I understand that he was also very unlucky. For example, Sierra lost a pop fly in the sun. I understand that there were also some poorly hit balls that landed where nobody was positioned. No question, he was up in the zone on too many pitches, but luck did play a role.

The 2 runs scored by the Jays on Price in the game were flukes. A pop foul by Encarnacion to Pena became a SF because the base runner on third tagged and scored. There was also an infield hit that bounced high off the plate. The runner on first made it to third on the play. It was that kind of day.

He hasn't been all that bad. At least he is better than Jeremy Hellickson, according to fangraphs.

Romero: 28 starts, 163 IP, 5.85 ERA, 8-13 record , .5 fWAR
Hellickson: 25 starts, 141.1 IP, 3.41 ERA, 8-10 record, .2 fWAR

Romero has been worth more than twice as good as Hellickson according to fangraphs, so the Jays should be very satisfied with Romero's production, but only if they take fangraphs seriously.

John Farrell CAN'T shut him down. Who is going to pitch for the Jays, JOHN FARRELL?

I hate that this team lost their starting pitching because it would have been phenomenal to see 4 out of the 5 teams in that division scratching for the top. It also would have been fun to see the Red Sox fall to last place in July.
