Royals fans seem to be disgusted with the ownership. That is what has to change or having some nice prospects (because you have struggled for so long and thus got very high draft picks year after year) won’t do you any good.

People want to act like age and parks/leagues don’t matter. Myers played in the PCL, a hitters mecca….Taveras played in the Texas League, which is very pitcher friendly. Thus, similar numbers but huge differences in their performances when standardized to the league average.

Myers: 12/10/1990; wRC+ at AAA 136

Those numbers with that power in AA in a pitchers league, while just turning 20 is more impressive than what Myers did in a hitters league against slightly better competition (the talent difference between AA and AAA isn’t that great) while being 1.5 yrs older.
