Let’s see. He does K lot but he also walks a lot and (prior to this year) had driven in at least 100 every year dating back to 2004. Proudly was spot.

Factor in things like Russell Martin seeing time at cleanup lately, faults or not, he’s a big part of the lineup and makes a big difference.

proudly… you have this guy confused with someone else, he’s a strikeout waiting to happen. You put Tex, Granderson, Arod and Swisher together and that’s a hell of a lot of K’s in one line-up.

It looks like the Yankees need his presence right now. He is not one of my favourite hitters, but he is a disciplined hitter who consistently drives in a lot of runs.
