Getty Images I spoke with Ted Berg of SNY.tv about Chipper’s last waltz in New York. Ted really, really hates Chipper Jones. So naturally I wore my Chipper Jones BP jersey to taunt him.
The best part is that Ted polled his readers about what gift the Mets should give Chipper upon his retirement. And I can’t say the readers are wrong about their choice.
Enjoy.

Way to work in mammo and yicketty there at the end. I wonder if Ted had any idea what in the world you were saying.

Sure didn’t look like he did, eh? That’s the trouble with Chipperish: its an exclusitory language.

fairly certain he thought Craig was having a stroke which is why he ended it so abruptly

They should make Piazza call him Chipper on the PA system since he refused to call him that name. He just called him Larry.

Ted’s blog is actually one of the best and funniest around. Maybe you should take a moment to check it out sometime – you know, when you’re not too busy coming up with oh-so-clever insults for people you don’t even know (“der…should I call him a douchebag?…a douchenozzle?…der, I’ll call him a douche!”).

I’m a Mets fan and I love Chipper. I don’t get why Mets fans don’t like him. He has had fun with the rivalry.

OK, so you had the Chipper jersey. But were you wearing the heart tighty-whities Mookie sent you?
Yes, this does make me feel like a stalker …
