Could not agree more. Was obvious by Memorial Day that this team was not post-season bound. All decisions from that point should have been with 2013 in mind.

I wish they would just shut Chooch down for the final 3 weeks. What's the point of having him put more pressure on a healing tear in his foot. The season is over. Then again, what was the point of throwing Worley out there again and again when his results began a dramatic downhill swing right after it was reported that he had bone chips in his elbow. I don't get it.

Cholly probably wants Chooch's bat available for PHing, since he can run one of the recently-promoted Expandables for him if he gets on. Meanwhile, it's been fun watching Hamels, in particular, trying to break in Kratz behind the plate these last few months. They just recently seemed to be getting on the same page, pitch-calling-wise. Wondering if he'll stay behind the plate for the rest of the year, or if Chooch will get back there at all this month.

I'm glad that Chooch is healthy. He's such an incredibly hard worker and has never let his ego get in the way of the team. To see him succeed so much this year has been such a delight, even with the team around him falling apart.
