Jose Canseco: “if you didn’t take steroids, you were just a *%#$!, you were just not part of the team”

Canseco boobs

Go to Steroids.com for the video in which a shirtless Jose Canseco flexes his pecs Or, in his parlance, “makes [his] boobs bounce,” while talking about which steroids are the best steroids and berates (a) teammates for not using steroids; and (b) fans and media for being upset about steroids now when, back in the day, they secretly loved the 500 foot home runs.

Then reflect on the fact that there’s a website called Steroids.com which, before the video, talks about how it’s the best place to get anabolics on the web. Then ask yourself why federal prosecutors are going after guys like Barry Bonds and Lance Armstrong.

    Oh Jose….

This guys brain dead, and don’t ever tell this idiot a secret.

Why aren’t they going after him? Because he is saying he took steroids. If a doctor is prescribing them to him it’s not illegal. Bonds and Armstrong have denied the use and are being prosecuted for lying under oath.

    Pisano pretty much nailed it.

Exactly why pro sports can never legalize the usage of PEDS. No athlete (or any other citizen) should be pressured into using any drug if they don’t want to do it.

This is like Christmas. I love Jose.

    Charlescub–
I think Craig is asking why prosecutors go after users like Bonds and not dealers like steroids.com. Canseco is just another user.

However, prescribing a medication for a nonexistent medical problem is a form of fraud and people have been prosecuted for that too. So even if Canseco had a prescription, he could still be pursued, along with the doctor. It would be a waste though; plus I seriously doubt there is a physician involved anyway.

    Craig,
I read last week that prosecutors were dropping the Armstrong case.

The only video I’m interested in seeing of Jose Canseco is a snuff video

    • Old Gator - Sep 10, 2012 at 12:08 PM

Then from long experience of him living down the road from me here in Macondo, all you have to do is take a video camera with you and get out on the freeway anytime you know he’s driving on it.

Thanks Craig, I mean rays fan for clearing that up. Then why aren’t they going after companies you ask? Because these companies are over in eastern Europe and federal prosecutors have no jurisdiction over them.

Umm maybe because they are cheaters just like Canseco and these website low lives.

  12. sharkcity408 - Sep 10, 2012 at 2:14 PM

As a die hard As fan I take exception to this. My uncle Carney Lansford played with McGwire nd canseco nd he NEVER used roids. Roids r for completely selfish cheaters. I hate canseco

  13. randygnyc - Sep 10, 2012 at 3:10 PM

Sharkcity- what’s wrong with this article. Ironically, carney Lansford is specifically who canseco is going after here. All Craig is doing is passing along canseco’s thoughts and a few of his own.

Go back on the juice fat boy.

Talk shit about Canseco all you want–he’s pretty much an asshole, but there’s one undeniable truth: He was THE ONLY PLAYER to step up and honestly admit PED use without being caught first. He single-handedly blew the lid off PED use in the game–without him, the steroid era probably would never have ended. Yeah, it was a little underhanded of him to narc on other players in his book, but why the hell are we turning the one guy in the game who was man enough to own up to what he did–including under oath in Congress FFS–into a villain?
