There is no way Molina should have tried for 3rd without a dirt bike at his disposal. He’s got three triples in his entire career and one of them, .. if I remember correctly, .. the OF had a heart attack before he got to the ball.

Talk all you like about Yadi’s legs (he steals a fair number of bases for a tortoise), it was a great, great play; and the proof of that is what it took to nail Yadi at all: that insane Kempian intensity — damn near knock the wall into the ravine, run fill tilt back toward the infield and throw a seed to 3b. See that look on Ethier’s face afterward? He was probably thinking exactly what I was: this guy plays in a perfect fury, he’s incredible to watch.
