I guess this shows how important the Angels are to him. He is just there for a BIG paycheck. I cannot see the Pujols of 5-10 years ago abandoning his team in the face of the same circumstances for his 5th child, especially three days after the birth, unless there were complications with either his wife or newborn. I hope for their sake that there are no health problems with his wife or their child.

He is def all in with family still living in st Louis. As a Yank fan good to c were not the only one destroying future by overpaying for over 30 declining free agents.

Yeah. There is that Chum. There is also the fact they have several children who are in school.
Most parents aren’t thrilled with the idea of moving their kids during the school year (even incredibly wealthy parents).
Wow. I just defended Albert Pujols. I didn’t see that coming for a few more years…minimum.

I think it’s cool that he was able to take some time to be there, baseball be damned. There aren’t enough rights for American fathers to take time off to be with their newborn children. It’s only a day, sure, but in the heat of a race to catch the BALTIMORE ORIOLES AND OAKLAND ATHLETICS(am I really typing this?), the Angels and Pujols did the right thing.

And destroyed the Rangers, too. That was nice.
