What’s important is the Yankees got the win finally being able to score a bounce of runs, But once again the Yankees relief pitchers tried to give away the game even with the big lead the Yankees had built up. Difference this time was Robertson who was almost the goat in the 1st game on Wednesday was excellent last night when he came.
Just to get back to Hughes for a minute. He now has 16 wins on the season with an ERA just over 4 at 4.05 if you ask me there isn’t a Yankee fan on the planet that if you told at the end of 2011 Hughes would be 16-12 with a 4.05 ERA at this point in the season AND have his fastball consistently in the 92 to 94 range that, that fan wouldn’t jump for joy. That’s just my opinion.

Yankee pitchers had 15 K’s and Jays pitchers had 11 k’s. Despite all the k’s, the final score was 10 to 7.
