Wright continues to wrack up legendary status with the mets to go along with all his championship rings. Combined with his leadership skills, David singlehandedly carries his team to the playoffs, year after year. When David finally hangs em up, he’ll have the luxury of be able to review his career knowing that he made all the wright decisions while balancing maximum income potential while performing on a team that perpetually had given him the best chance to make the playoffs, annually. My hat comes off to David for never selling out like many of today’s players who card more about his own contract than winning. The proof is in the pudding. David put being on a competitive above all else. The real proof is his impressive amount of WS rings he’s won.

Forgive me for more Mets criticism but they always seem to screw these things up. The Mets should have had Kranepool at the game. He still lives in New York and I bet he would have enjoyed being on hand to see his mark overtaken.
