Would someone please tell me what are the criteria for one to be classified as a "true Yankee"? I always felt that once one signs a contract, puts on that uniform, is trotted out for that news conference in front of the media, answers all those stupid questions, plays in the field, gets paid that that should be sufficient. Does it have anything to do with the amount of snuff one dips, tobacco one chews, sunflower seeds one spits out while being on TV, or how one adjusts one jock when on the mound?

Correct me if I'm wrong but Arod has already carried the Yankees to one World Series Championship; but yet he has yet in your estimation become a so called "True Yankee"?

Obviously there is some unknown rule, like those other infamous unwritten baseball rules I keep hearing about and I would appreciate it if some one post those rules so that we all could be in the same page concerning said unwritten rules. By the way who is responsible for setting the bar for these so-called unwritten rules?

I'm just sayin

It would be nice to have Tex back. It would be nicer if he actually hit in the post season this year. People love to rag ARod, but Tex has failed at a more epic level so far. Oh well, small sample size etc. Hopefully he rides a hot streak this year. He could become a
"True Yankee" with any luck.
