Now that Curt has been cleared of any federal wrongdoing I look forward to seeing him continue his TV career. A spot on the Fox news channel reporting fake news is a strong possibility.

Schilling still seems to believe it was the Government’s responsibility to stop him from blowing through all his (and their) money at a record pace.

THAT’s what caused his Board to consider filing for bankruptcy – something they did before the Governor knew about it, let alone uttered a word about it in public.

If the Governor had done what Schilling wanted him to do – keep quiet about the pending bankruptcy to defraud potential investors and dupe the taxpayers into investing even MORE in Schilling’s embarrassingly poorly run company – then THAT would have been worthy of criminal charges.

Schilling is upset that the Governor has ethics. But if Schilling wasn’t a dunce of epic proportions when it came to running a business he never would have been facing bankruptcy in the first place.

I have little interest in favoring Schilling or Rhode Island in this matter. I’d much prefer the Red Sox, their owners, thief payers, and their fans go away indefinitely.

I’m much more interested if you see hypocrisy if one is a small government Keynesian versus a small government classic liberal?

I apologize for not being more clear than I should’ve. I’m mocking two things here

1. The open hypocrisy of conservatives when it comes to being small government

2. The omnipresent thug that is the government attempting to prosecute someone for breaking a law in regards to a problem that they created in the first place.

Nope, he actually hired a lot of people BECAUSE of the loan and move to RI….of course, he screwed those people over big time both coming and going…..if he was going to remain consistent with his convictions, he should have sought private funding, not public….and if he was concerned with his employees, he might have lifted at least one finger to not screw them over.

Not really following. He got his loan from the previous RI administration. The current RI administration held him to its terms and he failed. He may have broken some laws in the process. The feds investigated and determined that the laws he may have broken were not federal and thus ceased investigating. The state continues its investigation as he may have still broken state laws.

2. So-called “small government” conservative accept government loan for business
3. Business fails
4. So call “small government” launches tirade against government stooges who gave them the loan in the first place
5. Federal Government stooges start sniffing around
6. Federal Government stooges realize that prosecution could open can of worms that make them look bad
7. Federal stooges give up chase

Am I missing something here?
