The Dodgers and Phillies complete the Shane Victorino trade

On July 31, the Phillies sent Shane Victorino to the Dodgers for Ethan Martin, Josh Lindblom and a player to be named later.  The Phillies just announced that Stefan Jarrin is the player to be named later, as they have acquired him from the Dodgers.

Jarrin is a second baseman who has spent two seasons with the Dodgers rookie league team in the Arizona League.  He’s 22 and has hit .211/.309/.336 in 176 plate appearances. So, no, not likely to alter the balance of power.

Stefan Jarrin is, however, the grandson of Hall of Fame broadcaster Jaime Jarrin, the long time Spanish language voice of the Dodgers. So he’s got that going for him. Which is nice.

Kevin, some day your going to be all grown up and will be able to make comments without be a trolling child. It actually was a pretty good trade They gave up a free agent who wasn’t coming back and wasn’t contributing to the team and received a couple players with a chance to contribute now and in the future. You know Kevin, you can actually discuss baseball here without being a childish bore simply because you don’t happen to be a fan of a team written about in the story. I know….shocking!!

Does this mean Victorino can finally start playing for the Dodgers?

He’s going to provide a ton of value to that franchise over the next 7days.
