Yea Nunez looked shot to hell today when he knocked in what ended up being the game winning RBI. God i love it when the Yanks play the bluegays, another series taken and the bluegays are nowhere near .500 yet look at the couple of fans they have mouthing off on here. Pathetic

With Nix in NY getting an MRI for a hip-flexor, Nunez is the only player on their 40 who can back up Jeter/Cano. With Girardi’s move yesterday, if you’re Nunez, your confidence is shot to hell.

I hope Francona doesn’t take the Indians job.

Thanks man. Its like PC explains it above: the Yankees were gettin beat by some pretty good hitting and some lights out bullpen work. Had it not been for some AAA OB skillz this would have been way worse. Where have these jabroni’s been the past 2 Months? Had the Beav been playing like this, rookis hitting, BP holding the lead, man Id be the worlds happiest beaver wrestler right now…..stilll, next season, eh?

About that headline, it could have read Jays squander chances but still win. Both Escobar and Gomes made base running blunders for the Jays otherwise they would have scored more runs. Gomes also made an error allowing Ibanez to reach first safely. Fortunately, the second base ump probably made an error when he called out the pinch runner on a steal attempt.

Romero pitched the way he has all season. He allowed a lot of base runners as usual, and his 6.00 ERA in the game was on a par with how he has pitched all year.

They pulled Nunez because of his (anticipated) poor defense. Why can’t they install him as the (permanent) DH for the last six games — now is not the time to rest the regulars in order to share the DH spot. Nunez is stinging the ball with his bat, something that the Yankee lineup doesn’t begin to do. He should hit third and be followed by Cano; let ARod hit fifth or sixth. Maybe then his ego will kick him in the butt and jump start his bat.
