The White Sox were playing way above their heads anyway. It’s a shame because next year the Tigers are going to have another hitter coming back from the DL and a chance for Cabrera to get some defensive help (i.e. A DIET).

Nice run Sox, but really have no fear – the Tigers will be ousted much like you would have been in the ALDS.

Let’s face it, the White Sox have been trying to give this division to the Tigers since right after the All-Star break.

The Tigers just decided late last week that they’d accept the offer.

The White Sox are dead. Even if they were able to win out and the Tigers lose out the Tigers would almost certainly win the 1 game playoff. The Tigers are 12-6 against the White Sox this year so they would be in Detroit where Detroit is 50-31 for the season. Also it would be a matchup of Verlander vs Sale. Sale appears to have run out of gas while Verlander has been excellent per usual.
