Act like Braves fans are the only ones who’ve ever delayed a game like that. I was in Stl in 98 and McGwire got tossed in the first inning, and they delayed that game nearly an hour to clean up trash.

“Would of” done? If you can’t spell or don’t know how to use proper English, how can your comments about baseball be expected to have any legitimacy? When you use a contraction for “would have”, it is “would’ve”. Having said that, yes, there are always morons everywhere who feel that throwing trash on the field is a great way to show their displeasure. That just makes them stupid — like the people in Atlanta yesterday.

At first, I thought it was a bit tacky the way the Cards celebrated in the locker room like they had won game 7 of the WS when they really haven’t won anything except the chance to play again. But then having to put up with the trashy fan behavior, I say they were warranted in splashing celebratory bubbly all over the place.

Braves still had bases loaded after the bad call and still found a way to blow it. The 20 minute delay hurt the cardinals to, they had to bring motte in earlier than expected. Plus the braves had one last chance in the 9th that they blew.

No excuses Atlanta you lost and embarrassed your fan base on the way.

Matthew, like Ron Darling said, the first wild card game in MLB history will forever be known as “The Infield Fly Game.” It won’t be remembered as “The Throwing Error Game.” While it is fact that the Braves hurt themselves, you can’t discount a major blown call that killed the momentum of what appeared to have the makings of a big comeback inning.
