Harold, you are begging the question. You’re assuming that Ken is referring to Showalter getting the game to the closer, when in fact, Ken does not state specifically how Girardi out-managed the Orioles’ skipper.

As a Yankee fan I would agree on one thing, .. “This is good baseball!”

It was good baseball in August and September too when the O’s were breathing down the Yankees neck. And, .. if the Yankees eventually win the WS,.. the O’s dogged pursuit of them in August and September will likely be credited with steeling the Yankees to the task at hand.

This series isn’t over. The O’s are a talented team lead by an excellent manager. Unless and until the Yankees win the third game it’s still a dog fight.

Wasn’t easy, and will not be easy. Amazin how Showalter has changed that team. For years, the Yankees would beat the Orioles before the first pitch. Total psych-out feeling, like Spinks looking at Tyson before the bell. Now, the Orioles are lookin the Yankees straight in the eyes. This is good baseball!

I think we all make too much of what a player or team has done in the past. Each pitch, at bat, game is a different seperate event. I understand that we base most if our opinions on what a guy has done in the past but baseball history is littered with things happening exactly opposite of the way we thought they would.
CC was huge tonight (pun intended).
