Not trying to complain, but being that both teams had to go 5 games to win their respective Division Series, it is unfair that only one of those teams gets a day off in between. Horrible scheduling IMO.

After the starters, Detroit relief pitching… is NO RELIEF… it’s a disaster.

Maybe… but as soon as they get to Benoit and Valverde… it’s a totally different story.

Those two guys make farm club hitters smile. IT WAS THE SAME LAST TIME!

Detroit bats need to be active early and not give the Yanks any hope.

Tigers starting pitchers outside of Sanchez have had the Yankee’s number recenly. Fister and Max both punched them in the mouth in last years postseason and Verlander destroyed them this season.

They’ve been doing the “.. just have to work with it.” thing for most of August and all of September and this far into October. Just ask the O’s. And, I think the O’s were their toughest best matched opponent.

The Yankees have enough talent to win the WS, .. at least as compared to the other teams left in the playoffs since no team is a lock, .. all they need do is execute. Just like every other team left.

I like their odds.

I respect the heck outta CC as a pitcher as well, he will take the ball on short rest, never complain, never make excuses, but we have seen it enough times to know short rest does affect these pitchers, even if its a guy like verlander or sabathia.

Yah. It would have been better for NY if they had been able to score yesterday. Wasted innings and arms on a pathetic offensive effort. They put themselves in this position and they’ll just have to work with it.
