Giants first base coach Roberto Kelly hit in head during Saturday BP, taken to hospital

We’ll update the situation throughout the evening as more news becomes available. The Giants will kick off their best-of-seven NLCS against the Cardinals on Sunday night at San Francisco’s AT&T Park.

    Scary. Ever since the Coolbaugh death in ’07, coaches have had to wear helmets on the field. I hope that applies to BP, too.

    That’s a sickening sound, of a hard ball striking someone in the head, and a sickening feeling, for the person who hit it. Hope Kelly is ok.
