Russell Martin is a terrible hitter, contact and average wise...what was he gonna do? Upgrade him to .220 and call that success?

Tex is a soon to be 35 yr old guy, entering decline phase...who has what, 5 more years at $22m? heh.

AJones is a roid ravaged, much smaller hat size shell of his former self. Drugs are bad, mmmmkay? He's about out of gas/juice/whatever

A Rod? See above. Decline phase, roid reversal, 5 more years of an asstastic contract.

Grandy is my guy...but he took bad routes even when he was athletic enough to look good playing CF. Tweaking his swing to be a one dimensional 230 hitter is success? Hope he finds a new club and has a few more years like the late 00s

Swish is what he is....a really nice player...it's his walk rate decline that is the issue....he'l get overpaid somewhere

Cano is a stud. Studs egnerally don't get visited by the HC....Cabby barely knows what Lloyd McClendon looks like even after 6 years....ditto Jeter on this.

Look, it's a poorly constructed team that wins because they have near unlimited payroll. It's gonna self destruct despite that in about 2 years when they have to eat ARoid and Tex's deals and can't find cheap pitching to fill in behind CC and Pineda...that's if they keep Soriano and have a closer....

Girardi is safe, but K.L. has to go. He has been riding the praises of "fixing" C. Granderson for how long now? game over.

-Could not help Martin all year long.
-Could not get Tex to even try hit anything to the left side when hitting left-handed. Forget about dropping a bunt. But Tex deserves most of the blame on this as he lied about even trying to do something about it.
-A. Jones was a complete disaster the entire second half.
-With A. Rodriguez, a different bat, a different approach, a different something is clearly necessary.
-With Granderson, where's the magic touch? The point is to make contact.
-Swish had a couple of 0-25 slumps, but otherwise had a normal Swish year.
-Cano is in his prime and seems to work through his own issues. Maybe calling his dad.
-Jeter, the best hitter on the team this year, has a track record from all I can remember of NOT working with K.L.
-Wasn't even going to mention Ichiro and his second half surge because K.L. certainly can't do $&^%^$ with Ichiro.
