Not sure what the Yankees are really complaining about you’ve had more than enough chances to make up for the questionable calls. Out of the 21 innings the Yankees have only scored in 1 of them the tigers have created enough offense and played good enough defense for the series to be 2-0.

TBS never showed proof of it hitting the pole. In fact, the blimp camera showed it was a lot farther away than people thought. But yeah, it’s definitely a liberal conspiracy to sabotage a team from new england.

1-0, 3-0, what’s the difference? Bad calls are an easy target but you have to hit to win. 4 hits – 3 singles, really? There isn’t a player on the Yankees that is going to even infer that the crappy call had anything to do with this loss. Maybe they’ll break out against Verlander.

You’re missing the point, it’s not the 75% chance of winning that’s huge, it’s that it’s an 80% reduction from 1-0 to 3-0. And those are context neutral stats, which means it’s probably even worse with a team that, outside of Ichiro and Ibanez, couldn’t hit sand if they fell off a camel.

Ok, but seriously, with 1-0 game Tigers still have greater than 75% chance of winning by those numbers. It isn’t like it becomes super competitive with a one run game this late. I’m not saying it couldn’t happen but a less than 25% chance isn’t much to build your argument on. The odds are still strongly against you.

Majorly blown call on Infante, but given the opportunity the Tiggers are capitalizing on it and the Borg is showing no signs of organic life. Cano just extended his schneid to 26 straight at bats. Meanwhile, watching the Fat Prince and Avila converging at moderately high speed for a popup near the dugout was like watching an outtake from When Worlds Collide.

1-0, bottom 8th, 0 outs – 22.9%
3-0, bottom 8th, 0 outs – 4.8%

5x more likely to win with a 1-0 score than a 3-0 score. Well done umpires.
