You stated that the Yankee manager clearly, didn’t trust Gardner, because according to you, he only had “three regular season at bats since April.” I replied that I didn’t recall hearing/reading that the coaching staff or the managerial staff made any statements to that effect.

How you got: “So Girardi and Cashman can do no wrong now”, is beyond my comprehension, because clearly, my comments make no allusion to Girardi and Cashman doing wrong.

If you’re watching the game as of 11:07 EST. you’ll notice that the Girardi is playing the Gardner in left field; the Granderson in center, and the Ichiro in right. The manager must indeed like the Gardner, and undoubtedly he also trusts the Gardner, because he’s playing him.

The Girardi also decided to start the Nunez at short stop this evening, so this will be the exciting game.

Girardi has been a major league manager for a long while now, and Brian Cashman didn’t just fall out of the cradle either, so along with the rest of the coaching staff, I don’t think any of those very baseball savvy gentlemen would be making roster gaffes any time soon.
