Gentlemen, mark your calendars so you can properly schedule your outrage:  the Baseball Writers Association of America has announced the dates on which it will announce its awards:

Monday, Nov. 12: AL and NL Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year Awards.
Tuesday, Nov. 13: AL and NL Managers of the Year.
Wednesday, Nov. 14: AL and NL Cy Young Awards.
Thursday, Nov. 15: AL and NL MVP Awards.

MLB Network will have hour-long specials each of those days leading up to the 4PM Eastern time announcements.  Then Twitter will explode and everyone will copy and paste their arguments from September.  It’ll be great fun!

Look at that picture. HBT and its typical Trout-coast bias.

Looks he’s rockin it Gangnam Style.

Like. Looks like. Dammit. Edit function.

For those who think they can cast a more informed ballot than the BBWAA members can, consider voting in the Internet Baseball Awards at

Gentlemen only? I’m insulted by your anti-female bias.

    • El Bravo - Oct 15, 2012 at 1:06 PM

Wow seriously, Craig. Total omission of gentlewomen.

    • stlouis1baseball - Oct 15, 2012 at 1:59 PM

I was waiting for you Inda! 21 minutes. No bad.

      • indaburg - Oct 15, 2012 at 3:09 PM

I would have been faster if I didn’t need to feed the baby first.

“Gentlemen, mark your calendars so you can properly schedule your outrage
Indaburg, we don’t have outrage. You, me, fearless leader, and the others only have well reasoned arguments. Don’t see the bias. :-)

      • indaburg - Oct 15, 2012 at 3:09 PM

        lol.. very good point, Rabbit.

    • cardsfanandi - Oct 15, 2012 at 4:03 PM

First thing I caught too, Indaburg. It’s cool though, we ladies won’t really be outraged, we’ll be validly arguing whether all those men made the right choices 😉

Get back in the kitchen! Who said you could use the interweb thingy?

  4. Chipmaker - Oct 15, 2012 at 12:56 PM

Interesting that they bundled the CYAs and MVPs this year, but given the television specials, that probably was the influential factor.

  5. darthicarus - Oct 15, 2012 at 1:07 PM

Michael Young – “Siri, set an appointment for Nov. 15 @ 4pm ET. I expect a lot of phone calls.”

  6. historiophiliac - Oct 15, 2012 at 1:38 PM

If only this meant that as of Nov. 15th the Great Trout-Cabrera Debate would end…but in reality, the award announcement will just ruin Thanksgiving (US).

    • stlouis1baseball - Oct 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM

Sadly…you are dead on Philiac. Regardless of the outcome…Thanksgiving IS…very much ruined.

  7. xjokerz - Oct 15, 2012 at 8:48 PM
