He was never going to Baltimore. He never expressed the slightest desire, let alone that he would give a “hometown discount”.

From his days in COLLEGE he was as blunt as anyone could ever be. He said that if/when he hit FA it would be a business decision & nothing more.

It was all the bullshit conjecture of some local hacks, probably Gary Thorne.
