Donald Trump has all kinds of opinions about the Yankees

Oct 16, 2012, 12:34 PM EST

Donald Trump

Donald Trump weighed in on A-Rod’s struggles and Derek Jeter‘s injury in the past day or so. And he did it with his usual subtlety.

On A-Rod:

Trump called on star Alex Rodriguez to donate his contract to charity. “He doesn’t make the Yankees any money and he doesn’t perform,” Trump tweeted. “He is a $30M/yr rip off.”

If you called into a talk radio show to make that point you wouldn’t get past the screeners due to the cliche and pedestrian nature of his rant, but I guess if you’ve convinced enough people that you’re important, it’s newsworthy.

Trump’s take on Jeter — who just sold his penthouse in Trump’s fancy-schmancy building —  is a little more inventive:

“Derek Jeter had a great career until 3 days ago when he sold his apartment at Trump World Tower,” Trump tweeted. “I told him not to sell- karma?”

Seems like the most likely explanation, yes.

You ask a clown’s opinion and you get weak jokes. Surprised here?

    • Roger Moore - Oct 16, 2012 at 8:52 PM

Those are some clown opinions, bro.

I took a dump this morning with about the same amount of value in its opinions as the Donald.

    • phisticuffs - Oct 16, 2012 at 12:53 PM

With all due respect to your dump, I think your excrement is probably underrated when compared to Trump.

This guy is such a blowhard. Has he given $30 million to charity this year as he suggests ARod should?

    • nworca - Oct 16, 2012 at 3:00 PM

I wouldn’t be to sure that Trump has $30 million. You can’t donate debt or exaggeration.

Ah, the Land’s Great Thinker & Sage weighs in, eh? Jeez. What a buffoon.

Sign of a really slow news day — someone pays attention to Donald Trump.

Donald Trump has all kinds of opinions.
None of which are worth the paper this blog is printed on.

    Just Donald being Donald….

Trump is proof that just because you’re rich doesn’t mean you have any class or intelligence.

“It is a tale, told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing…”

I haven’t decided if I’m going as the Donald for Halloween, but my wife has already announced she is going as Marcus Bachmann.

So Donald, what’s it like going through life as a cartoon character?

  12. Gobias Industries - Oct 16, 2012 at 2:38 PM

I just sold one of my three penthouses in one of Trump’s buildings yesterday afternoon. This morning I was highly inconvenienced when the blood of the homeless man my buffoon of a chauffeur ran over got all over the bumper of the Bentley. I was a full two minutes late to the polo match. Coincidence? No. Karma.

But did he ask for either of their birth certificates?

  14. muskyhunter2542 - Oct 16, 2012 at 3:39 PM

    Trump…..Your fired!!!

Opinions are like assholes; everyone has one.

    • keysandkites - Oct 16, 2012 at 8:17 PM

Even Donald’s mouth is shaped like an asshole.

  16. Utley's Hair - Oct 16, 2012 at 5:09 PM

But what did he have to say about Luke Scott?

  17. dcrudy - Oct 16, 2012 at 6:04 PM

You can say the same about the Donald as Billy once said about George : “…the @&$?#% was born on third base and he thinks he hit a triple…”

  18. retief1954 - Oct 17, 2012 at 1:38 PM

The fool Trump has all sorts of idiotic opinions about all sorts of things. None of ‘em mean squat. No one respects him. He’s just another rich, out-of-touch laughingstock trying hard to be relevant and important, and FAILING. That’s about all there is to him.
