I’m from Boston, rooting for The Tigs, but, I have to say That The Yankees have impressed the hell out of me with their ability to remain cool, calm and collected amidst such a variety of adverse conditions. There is no childish acting-out, smashing coolers or whining of any kind; in fact, they have shown no signs of quitting and almost pulled off a huge comeback last night. Had Ibanez gotten a hit vs Coke, I don’t think there would be all this smack talk here right now and Tigers fans would be worrying about facing CC today. Apparently, it’s not to be for NY this year, but they have earned my respect in a way they have never done before. Detroit has spent a ton of money to get big stars and it is paying off for them, although I fear their lack of a strong Closer may be their demise in the WS.
