Nah, the real definition of quitting is Dave Ortiz this season with his”I’m not gonna play no more dis year, I need more money next year.” Minor injury , major loser for a guy that doesn’t even play in the field. Pathetic. he made Manny look like a gamer.Neither one could hold Jeters’ jock for playing with pain at a high level and never complaining about it.

At least they didn’t choke all their chickens( wings) like the Red Sox did last year. I rather choke in the playoffs than the regular season, at least you can fly another pennant flag in your digs.My six pack is on my stomach , not in the fridge like yours.

Geeze – the Yankees must have more salary on their bench than most teams do on the field.

Thank goodness he’s only got 5 years at $25 million a season remaining on his contract.

Yankees fans can also take solace from their first hand knowledge that it IS possible for a team to completely break down and choke in humiliating fashion after being up 3-0 in the ALCS.

But Granderson probably won’t get a hold of one, strike out 3 times and fly out the other on 12 pitches.

On the flip side, while Gardner may or may not get a hit, he can lay down a bunt if needed, he may go 0-4 but will take 25-30 pitches, and plays better CF defense than Granderson.

I don’t blame Girardi for the A Rod benching, although I think it is a little late and there’s no redemption shot if he’s sitting still. However, A Rod hasn’t ever been a great post season player for the Yanks so why all the guff, was it your girls he was flirting with??? I kid, I kid.

I’m sorry but this isn’t a get away day game in Kansas City in the middle June. You have to go down with you big guns even if they’re firing blanks. That’s close to 100 HRs the last 2 years in Granderson and the man who has more HRs than anyone still playing baseball on the planet not playing tonight.

Granderson might get a hold of one, Gardner will NOT.

Oh well at least my misery will be over soon enough.

Unless A-Rod has an injury they are not disclosing this is senseless. Girardi should face serious scrutiny after this series. Some questionable decision making.
