Tweet of the Day: I guess it isn’t “FlirtGate” after all

Oct 17, 2012, 5:55 PM EDT

The fact that this even had to be said is a testament to how utterly looney the New York press corps can be at times:

So it’s just because he stinks. Occam’s Razor at work.

Indeed. For a clean, close, comfortable shave….

Cashman would be the last one to punish a man for extracurricular activities.

A-Rod will have plenty of free time to work the ladies after the Tiger’s complete the sweep tonight.

The Tiger’s what? Which Tiger? Tiger Woods? And what is it of his that is going to complete a sweep?

OH, you mean “Tigers” without the possessive. I guess you just included the apostrophe as a typo.

Gee, are you clever. I just can’t over how clever you are. And you’re funny too. Boy-o-boy are you funny. If OG had a son, he’d want him to be funny and clever, just like you.

OG has three grown funny clever and successful sons, each one utterly unlike you.

The problem was that he flirted with Nick Swisher’s grandmother.

    Confused her with Madonna.

    • jdd428 - Oct 18, 2012 at 12:44 AM

Easy mistake. They’re the same age.

Hahaha. Did you hear the one about your wife? Someone thought she was a taxi, but when they got in, she stalled. Ahahahaha, she stalled….get it.

What are the Yankees going to do with him for the next five years? it would be nice to think they could trade him, but who in Gods name would take him? I don’t know if they ate his contract that any team would take him.

    • protius - Oct 18, 2012 at 2:57 AM

His brand has a great deal of marketability in his home town of Miami.

    • hconnor2001 - Oct 18, 2012 at 7:47 AM

I can’t think of a team that wouldn’t take him for free!

      • protius - Oct 18, 2012 at 1:54 PM

Why wouldn’t a team take him for free? That would be a great bargain for the team taking him. Not so much for the Yankees. Therefore, I don’t think that the Yankees would be willing to part with him for free.
