to bash a-rod like this is a bit unfair. sure, he’s been awful, and the fact that his name dominates headlines on a day he isn’t starting in a must-win game only fuels the fire. i get it. but the thing is, the tiger’s starting pitching has been very good, while the whole of the yankee lineup has been very bad. he’s not the only one that looks helpless. i’ve seen guys like swisher trying to hit a six-run homer, while tex and even ichiro, FFS, wave weakly at off-speed stuff. it’s going to be hot in NY for alex this winter, but the whole team should be ashamed of their performance in this series, and even more so because of game 4. this was a disgraceful showing by the bombers.

Great pitching tends to carry the day. The Tigers have it in spades, with enough offense to get the wins.

The Yanks have CC & nothing else really. No other pitchers, no hitting…nothing. $200 million spent on nothing.
