He’s been great. But let’s face it, being overweight becomes an issue when you make 25 mil a year and perform terribly in an eliminaton game. You can’t tell me that if he lost 40 pounds, he wouldn’t be better.

I think over time the weight issue will resonate more and more, but I don’t think it is the issue here and now. Remember he missed some time with “dead arm”. The last time I remember hearing “dead arm” was right before Joba Chamberlain got told he needed Tommy John Surgery. So, in other words Kuroda’s asking price for 2013 just went up by at least 50%…and somewhere Scott Boras is slobbering.

you mean that sack of lard that he has pitched with all four years he’s been with the yankees and gone 74-29, with an era lower than 3.40, while compiling 821 strikeouts?? i think you can give the weight issue a little bit of a rest there. I’d say he’s been fairly consistent over his career and probably wouldnt be unlikely if his elbow needs to be checked out. I mean the guy has been an absolute workhorse over his career.
