The Yankees public relations people say his weight is down from last year. Last year he admitted to 300lbs. This year, in person, he looked slimmer then he did when I saw him last year, and the public relations folks said that he had lost 10lbs. Keep in mind that he’s 6′ 8″ tall; he is a big man.

Good points. Look at what Sabathia did for Milwaukee. He pitched every fourth day for half a season, just like an old time, big fat, Mickety Lolich!
Carrying the Brewers to the post season, now that was heavy lifting.

I get it, .. the Yankees are fair game.

But, keep in mind that Sabathia has been EVERYTHING they have asked for, on the field, in the clubhouse.. and more.

The guy is a team first, .. highly productive model citizen. Like Mussina before him, has been worth everything Yankees have given him. So even Yankee haters really can’t beef about anything of substance.

If the MLB fans in general want to piss on the Yankees, .. well OK, .. it comes with the territory and they can take it. But, to single out an exemplary player to rant about and suggest or imply his potential injury status, .. well that says more about the poster than Sabathia.

Go ahead, .. pile on, .. the Yankees and their fans can take it. See you next year!!!

As a Red Sox fan, I like C.C. Seems like a nice guy and is one helluva workhorse of a pitcher.

Although I gotta say it’s nice to see the Sox aren’t the only team stocked to the gills with aging prima donnas and bloated salaries.

I’m sure the rest of MLB is laughing their asses off at our collective plights.

Hey, at least the Yankees made it to the ALCS before collapsing. The Sox collapsed Opening Day.

I’d like it much better if CC lost another 20 or 25 lbs.

He can’t keep toting around 290lbs. and not think that it’s not going to affect his ability to pitch over the long term.

Three months of P90X wouldn’t hurt him, Pineda, Chamberlain, et al.
