I have seen numerous games. Been in attendance at several as well.
Holliday carried this club for large stretches this year. Look at his numbers.
If you had done that…you would no your comments are “blasphemy.”
Your reference to his defense is funny as well.
While Holliday isn’t going to win any gold gloves I will point out he more than holds his own defensively (when compared to other Leftfielders).
Off course…it is a well known fact the worse OF play leftfield.
So I guess your point about his defense is…well…point less.

Although you are on point…you are wasting your time Brad.
A few days ago I explained to the dude Holliday flat carried this club at times this year.
Your WAR reference as well as the playoffs comment is 100% dead on.
I think he might be new to baseball.

WAR? Really? obviously you have never watched a cardinals game. Saying holliday is a lousy defensive OF is giving him to much credit. He swings at terrible pitches an makes horrible unproductive outs. Nearly all of his production has came when the cardinals already have the lead. Its aot easier to hit a 3 run homer when your up by 6. To even suggest Holliday is the reason the cardinals are in the playoffs is blasphemy. an I say again, clearly you havent seen many games.

Holliday had a WAR of 5.1 this season. The Cardinals most likely wouldn’t even be in the damn playoffs without his production this season.

Probably part tactical, part health. Good for Holliday if he recognized the Cards might be better off with him coming off the bench, if necessary, than trying to struggle with an able Carpenter waiting in the wings.

Based on the way he has not hit this series, I can understand why the Giants did not throw at Holliday.
