Still liked that Zambrano trade, though. Volstad seems like a nice guy, and with him at least there was hope he’d develop into a solid pitcher. Hope he still does, both his sake and KC fans’.

Boy, that’s going to be some battle to be the staff “ace” between Hochevar and Volstad. Whoever’s ERA is under 6 in spring training gets to be the opening day starter. The Royals need to be relegated to AAA until David Glass actually starts to give a shit about the laughable team they field year after year. Actually, that probably wouldn’t change anything.
