Luis Aparicio offers his congratulations to Pablo Sandoval, Miguel Cabrera

Following on the story from over the weekend about Hugo Chavez, the Associated Press has a story about the triumph of the Venezuelan players in this year’s postseason, including Pablo Sandoval, Marco Scutaro and Miguel Cabrera. My favorite part:
Hall of Famer Luis Aparicio sent congratulations on Twitter, calling Sandoval’s performance great in the series that ended Sunday with the Giants sweeping the Detroit Tigers in four games. Aparicio also referred to the possibility of the Tigers’ Miguel Cabrera winning American League MVP, saying: “We should have two MVPs this year… don’t you think?”
I mostly just love the fact that Luis Apariciao — who is 78 years-old — is active on Twitter and does not apparently have an assistant or publicist doing his tweets for him.

He looks great for his age.

I also like that he seems to imply that Trout should be the (at least) partial MVP.
