Scanning the hundreds of AP and Getty photos from last night’s clincher. This one is my favorite so far:

If you thought they were bad in Baltimore..

    • sophiethegreatdane - Oct 29, 2012 at 12:44 PM

What on Earth does this have to do with Baltimore?

      Some people….

      • Old Gator - Oct 29, 2012 at 1:21 PM

More to the point, why didn’t anybody realize before that Marco Scutaro had been Edvard Munch’s model?

      • sailcat54 - Oct 29, 2012 at 3:20 PM

Big respect for the art knowledge, Old Gator. Good eye, too.

      • Shafer's Dealer - Oct 29, 2012 at 4:52 PM

it was a reference, some got it, others found it rude and most simply didn’t get it at all…

  2. El Bravo - Oct 29, 2012 at 11:13 AM

Good to see you’re still with us, Mr. Calcaterra.

  3. sabatimus - Oct 29, 2012 at 11:29 AM

Anybody else immensely disturbed by this photo? And I’m not talking about the kiss.

    • crisisjunky - Oct 29, 2012 at 3:11 PM

If you’re referring to the viscous anomaly flowing into the W, don’t worry… it’s merely the rabid foam Romo wiped from Marco’s jowls before planting.

    • bjbeliever - Oct 29, 2012 at 3:54 PM

i’d describe myself as disturbed by your comment…

  4. stex52 - Oct 29, 2012 at 11:32 AM

Did he ask permission first? Without context, that picture looks a little scarey.

The Mysterious Shadow Arm of Dousing sure is holding two bottles in a magical way. Also: It totally does not surprise me that Scutaro would wear goggles in this situation.

    What an annoying team

    • pauleee - Oct 29, 2012 at 12:15 PM

As if an Eagles fan would understand celebrating a championship.

      • loungefly74 - Oct 29, 2012 at 3:03 PM

ooohhhh….eagles512 got served!!!!!!!! big time! HAHAHAHAHAHAH!

    • temporarilyexiled - Oct 29, 2012 at 12:41 PM

Especially if YOUR team(s) aren’t performing exactly as you’d like…

    • nogoodtomedead - Oct 29, 2012 at 1:45 PM

yeah- its terrible when a team of young home-grown talent and a few deserving veterans have fun playing baseball on their way to winning a champioship. Damn that irrates me! I feel you pain- i wish the philadelphia “dream team” eagles could finally get it done so that all those wonderful philly phans could have something to cheer about!!

  7. cur68 - Oct 29, 2012 at 11:55 AM

Pity his name wasn’t “Romeo”. Ah, sweet irony…you elude us still, like baseballs eluding Fielder’s bat…

    • Old Gator - Oct 29, 2012 at 12:27 PM

You mean eluding A-Roid’s bat. It’s all about the Borg, remember?

      • cur68 - Oct 29, 2012 at 1:09 PM

        A, sweet narrative…

    • historiophiliac - Oct 29, 2012 at 7:08 PM

low hanging fruit — I expect more of you, Cur, I really do. A Fielder joke? smh

      • cur68 - Oct 29, 2012 at 8:59 PM

Ah, sweet, sweet low hanging fruit…

  8. rastaraider - Oct 29, 2012 at 12:27 PM

It’s over baby we on top !

    Don’t hate east coast Punks

    • Old Gator - Oct 29, 2012 at 12:29 PM

Speaking of punks, that wasn’t you out there running around breaking windows and setting buses on fire last night, was it?

What is the deal with the weird dance that Romo does when he is celebrating? It kinda looks like a seizure.

    • Old Gator - Oct 29, 2012 at 2:52 PM

Romo and Brian Wilson have been going to Arthur Murray in the evenings.

      • loungefly74 - Oct 29, 2012 at 3:09 PM

Arthur Murray saved my relationship. okay, it didn’t but i want to say thats a great way to score points. im seriously thinking about getting lessons. anyway…Romo’s dance looks like a “crunk” move. he wants to go ballistic but he knows he is on “stage” and tries to confine it in a tight space/move to not look like a complete spaz dance…

    • crisisjunky - Oct 29, 2012 at 3:17 PM

He channels Pascual Perez… next year he will do laps on the ATL. beltway.

    • bayarea510 - Oct 29, 2012 at 3:28 PM

      It’s the Gangnam Style dance.

  10. hardballtalkusername - Oct 29, 2012 at 4:31 PM

Surprised nobody’s mentioned that if you replace the R in Romo with an H you get…
