The Giants victory parade will be on Halloween

One of the craziest days in San Francisco, I am told, is Halloween. Big parties and stuff. It got a little crazy overnight, but it’s about to get crazier:

The Giants’ victory parade will begin at the foot of Market Street at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The parade ends at Civic Center. Yes, on Halloween. The city that revels in Bay to Breakers, Halloween in the Castro, and any chance to dress up (or down) and party, will throw an orange-and-black celebration to rival all others.

The parade they had back in 2010 was notable for its size and relative rowdiness as far as these things go.  I presume this one will be more subdued. Has to be, right? Old hat and all of that?

Wilson could win any costume contest as a Hippie’s Vagina, same could be said for Pence.

Assuming you’re feeling better, you should persuade NBC Sports that it’s important to your readers that you cover the parade. Ask the locals to compare and contrast the parades. Catch ALL the Halloween festivities.

But how will they tell who’s in costume?

Nice way to usher in the orfseason. Party hard, and then let the trades rumors begin in earnest!

Oh man, gotta love San Francisco. I am assuming this will be streamed either on ESPN3, NBCSports.com, Yahoo! or most likely MLB.com. I don’t care who, I just want to see a Banana costume while the Giants hoist the Trophy.

I just hope no one comes as a giant peanut.

3peat parade if posey didn’t get hurt last year…

Highest man-thong per capita in the country that day.

    I’m not kidding

Waiting until 11:00 for the fog to clear. Got to broadcast those sunny CA images, one giant (heh, heh) tourist bureau advertisement. I expect at least 1,000,000 to line the parade route. A true SF parade would have them start by standing in line at the Mint St Blue Bottle for an espresso, then meander over to the Blue Bottle at the Ferry Building for a second cup, after the appropriate wait in line, then head down the Embarcadero to AT& T.

All activities are improved by the judicious application of Blue Bottle. Maybe they can sponsor the parade?

Gonna be at the parade on Wednesday! Woohoo!

Well no work will be getting done in the Bay Area on Wednesday. Halloween + World Series Parade? Madness.
