Exactly right. Outrighting just opens the possibility of a minor league deal, likely what any team would offer him at this stage.

Joey devine pitched amazing in 2008. He has beenn a decent reliever but is ridicously injury prone. I think he may be done. Braden is decent and left handed not too old. He should get 1 year deal. People should stay off his mound though.

I wouldn’t rule out a deal with the A’s. Despite what the national press thinks of him after the Rodriguez dust up, he is well regarded by the A’s and their players.

unless the Angels plan on moving to South County I don’t think 949 will be an issue

But with the Angels likely moving on from Haren, I don’t see them pursuing a player with similar injury concerns and questions in Braden.
