Doesnt Burnett live with Storen and Clippard. I remember seeing that special that the 3 live together. Helps the Nats that im sure Burnett wants to keep playing with his close buddies.

Agreed. Both seem to want to stay, and the team seems to want to keep them. However, each has abilities that are lacking in the off-season market. Someone else is liable to offer a lot for those abilities. Happily, as you note, the Nats have the cash to match such offers.

I think it’s more likely that LaRoche re-signs with the Nats than Burnett. As a Nats fan, I hope that they both re-sign. Nats have a ton of cash to burn, so why not spend it on 2 quality players.

Good for them. Time to move on to a team that will NEVER let an agent run their baseball ops. And they probably think GM Mike Rizzo is a dink as well.

I don’t think either of these players will garner huge deals this off-season, but they will do all right. LaRoche can hit and isn’t a defensive liability. Burnett is a lefty. They’ll find work.
