Wrong. Urban legend. Ryan Adams, who went bonkers during a 2006 show in Nashville after a heckler repeatedly yelled for him to play the other Adams’ hit song “Summer of ’69.” A less-than-amused Ryan demanded that the venue turn on the house lights. He then plunged into the audience, located the heckler, handed him $28 to cover the price of his ticket and refused to play another song until the joker left the venue

I read a story once where Ryan Adams had a couple of hecklers in the crowd asking him to play something by Bryan Adams, and he climbed off stage and whipped the shit out of them.
