I would love for Boston to bring this guy to play 1st base. I think his swing is great for Fenway and the stats do not lie .306/.397/.710 at Fenway (7 HR in 62 ABs). I think he’s also more likely to produce a WAR between 2 to 3 opposed to the 5.6 he put up in 2011. With a career .371 wOBA and 126 OPS+, I wouldn’t mind throwing him something around 3 years, 27-33 mill. We do have a hole at 1st after all.
