Lucas Duda breaks his wrist moving furniture

Nov 6, 2012, 3:03 PM EDT

Details are sketchy, but this is not good:

Duda made nearly half a million bucks last year. It’s a shame he couldn’t hire someone to move that furniture for him.

    Unbelievable.

Good thing he wasn’t involved in the Pirates military-style training for their recruits.

      He might have gotten hurt.

This organization is fueled by bad karma.

Hey, if they have fuel, they’re ahead of the curve in NYC right now.

    Was Joel Zumaya helping him?

  4. jaysfan64 - Nov 6, 2012 at 3:26 PM

Sure he really wasn’t washing his truck?

Mets fans dont even care anymore.

      • mazblast - Nov 6, 2012 at 3:56 PM

Oh, I think they care, but it’s more like depression, “anger without enthusiasm”.

    • purnellmeagrejr - Nov 7, 2012 at 7:55 AM

Just when it loooked like he had things set to be a a career minor leaguer something like this has to happpen.

  6. sdelmonte - Nov 6, 2012 at 4:05 PM

No reason to think he won’t be able to play in the spring. Aside from “Mets trainers get it wrong.”

  7. mookie311 - Nov 6, 2012 at 4:34 PM

i don’t know why i’m still a mets fan. it’s just pain upon pain upon pain.

  8. jssgriffi - Nov 6, 2012 at 4:50 PM

Just because he has money means he’s gotta pay someone to do something for him? Lame

  9. tfbuckfutter - Nov 6, 2012 at 5:00 PM

Based on his haircut in that picture, that could really affect the Mets 1988 season.

  10. lew24 - Nov 6, 2012 at 6:35 PM

Was he moving furniture or washing his truck like Jeff Kent?

  11. rdav29 - Nov 6, 2012 at 7:52 PM

He should have asked Keith Hernandez to help him move.

  12. plmathfoto - Nov 6, 2012 at 8:28 PM

My guess is he dropped it, like he does if a baseball comes near him.

  13. mojosmagic - Nov 6, 2012 at 10:13 PM

When you play for the Mets and your name is Duda only bad can happen.
Oh the Duda night, Oh the Duda day
I was having sex with Mr Met
And my hand got in the way
