It’s a stupid bus … Couldn’t you have just told him to pay to fix it instead of wasting tax payers money going through court and then letting him waste away in some jail cell for 2 months becoming a decay to society

I didn’t say that or anything like that, .. did you read what I said?

The point is that if he has no record and didn’t hurt any all we’re talking about here is property crime. It would not only be imbecilic to burden the tax payer and and already over crowded jail system it would be counter productive. Moreover, it flies in the face of pragmatic jurisprudence. A good DA doesn’t go out of his way to publicly hang one guy, .. unless he’s looking to get reelected and that isn’t justice. Now, had the DA said he was going to make an example out of ALL those arrested for this bit of mayhem that that would seem more evenhanded but he didn’t, .. Why? Because had he went out of his way to throw the book at EVERYONE of them his office would be back logged for years and he’d be wasting jail pace better used for more deserving hoodlums.

If all we’re talking about is a first time offender and property crime, fine him, put him on probation, make him do community service, take anger management and perhaps alcohol counseling AND pay for what he broke. Then make a big deal of the end cost in hopes of deterring the next clown. If that doesn’t do it putting this clown in jail won’t deter the next guy either. This way he pays for his crime without completely wrecking his life, the City gets their bus whole again and the the tax payer isn’t worse for the some DA looking to grandstand so that he can get reelected. Putting the screws to him to make a point would be appropriate only if one were an imbecile.

We had over 200 cases for public destruction and theft in Vancouver for the Hockey riots ! The DA dropped 100 cases even though they had thousands of cell phone photos and videos. No one has been convicted yet. A joke by the Moosehead justice system. Time to make Hockeyland part of the States !

Drop him over the fence of the polar bears in the Bronx Zoo. Our prayers and thoughts go out to the family of the baby that was killed by the dogs doing what they do in the wild. Zoos should not have these wild animals that are used to roaming hundreds a miles a week in the wild.

I am an attorney and one can see clearly that Mr. Grannis was trying to help stop the bus which had lost its breaking system. He found the nearest object available to him to help slow down the bus. Mr. Grannis is a hero who risked his life to save people on the bus.
