If ARod isn’t considered a cancer in the clubhouse then he will end up staying. Might as well if they are going to have to buy out most of the contract in order to get rid of him.

I feel that this team is experiencing some money issues with all of the stories bubbling about Stub Hub and the fact that those God damn seats in back of home plate just aren’t filling up the way they used to.

I’d love to see this team have some tight purse strings finally.

A-Rod was a 2 WAR player over the 122 games he played last season.

Eight teams got less than 2 WAR out of their third basemen over 162 games.

Yes, he’s old/fragile/declining, and yes, he’s owed an unbelievable amount of money. That said, in the short term, in terms of on-field performance, A-Rod would be an upgrade for quite a few teams out there, and in that sense they would want him to play for them.

A. He tried, no takers
B. Deal done. Waiting for best Friday to make the news dump
C. Alex starting at AA will become a killer middle innings relief pitcher.
D. At present rates of injuries, we only will have him 40% of the season anyway
E. He is in the Best Shape of his Life and will be totally awesome in 2013 Dude!
