The Cur Cave: what an outstanding idea. It shall be lined with many seal pelts, warmed by their blubber and offer the choicest beers in all the land from any of its many “Beer Fountains”. My very first guest to the cave will be Vin Scully. I shall get him splashed on beer and we shall carry on like Dreyfus, Schieder & Shaw did just before Jaws ate their boat.

Its quite obvious that the new Dodger ownership has told Colletti that money is no object. Personally I would’ve gotten a deal with Kershaw done first just to get it done and out of the way. Yes its only November but one can guess that in the back of everyone’s minds that this kind of binge spending is only doomed to failure, then again who knows.

Recent History has not fared well for the last couple of teams that went on spending sprees ( Red Sox, Marlins, Angels ) but kershaw is an ace that every team would love to have and the dodgers need to lock him up. I think they would want to avoid arbitration. And try to avoid a situation like the giants and lincecum case

I’m intrigued to see what happens with this dodgers team. I hope they sign Youk, and the Korean dude, and everyone else in any rumor….just to see how it all turns out.

The Dodgers already have Crawford, Gonzalez and Kemp signed to over $100 million dollar deals that are still early in their term AND thy may be in the Greinke. Now the want to sign Kershaw long term too? If they get Greinke and lockup Kershaw that would give them 5 players with $100+ million dollar deals. That is nuts. And I didn’t even mention Andre Either who has a an $80 million dollar deal. Has any team ever had this many monster contracts?
