Well, I guess if the Feesh were going to trash their nine year long tradition of playing anyone at third but a third baseman, a guy with a trash…er…slash line like Quasimodo’s would make the most sense for them.

I think this would be a big mistake for the Phils. I think you’d get a better average, less power. a better glove and more durabilty with Frandsen. And they have a back up plan with Galvis, he looks healthy and hitting well in Venezuala (not that I’m counting on offense from Galvis). I agree that Youk would be a good August pickup for a contender (hopefully the Phils). The Phils need to concentrate on the OF, IMO.

Replacing one fragile 3rd baseman with another doesn’t make a lot of sense. Plus Chavez has a lot better bat
