Mickey Hatcher is 10 times the hitting coach than Counsell would be. The man had the strangest stance in baseball history!

Craig Counsell? Greg Colbrunn? If they interview Edgar Renteria and Terry Pendleton, they’ll have the whole 1995-96 Marlins infield.

…and if Counsell doesn’t work out as the hitting coach maybe the Red Sox might have him on their “radar” or be “interested” in him as a utility infielder. After all at 42 years of age he probably still has 1 or 2 good years left in him for the Red Sox.

So Counsell’s advice to pretty much every hitter would be, “Hmmmm, I don’t think you are holding your hands high enough.”
