I’m a Mets fan, but I follow the Yankees closely, probably out of jealousy. Steinbrenner’s sons don’t have the same passion & rigor for winning that their dad did. The sons seem to be more interested in making the Yankees a profit generating machine than a championship winning machine. That, to me, is an injustice to the name & memory of George Steinbrenner. Once his sons make their hundreds of millions on revenue for the next few years, they’ll have enough & sell. Joe Torre’s group anyone?
