Um did you even bother to check Ortiz or Jeter’s numbers from last season? Both still look pretty solid to me junior so not sure what you are looking at. And if you even bothered to do “any” research at all you would have noticed that Tampa has great numbers against Mark and so does The O’s. But let me guess all their players are “over the hill” also? 2. has ortiz been the same as he was? Jeter has been on the decline, Ortiz is on the decline, Boston doesnt even have a SS yet, LONEY at 1st? Sweeney and Nava in the corner OF spots? Ichiro and gardner arent gonna do horrible damage, A-Rod is over with (theyre looking at jeff Keppinger to replace him), so if Cano (and even if Jeter and Ortiz) kept up the pace against Burhrle, thats 3 players in a whole division. 3 total players off the 2 “juggernauts” in the division. I myself like the yankees as my 2nd favorite team behind the White Sox, but even i realize theres decline and change. So even if Cano and jeter homer.

And the players i was looking at are from the current rosters genius, Cano and Jeter have softball numbers against Mark. Ortiz totally crushes his 85mph heaters and so on and so on. I wasnt looking up what retired players did against him, Think Current Roster and while you are at it, think hockey cause the jays will never play another meaningful game again.

But teams and rosters change over time. these are not the Yankees of the Early 2000s. Not the 2 time champ red sox. not the rays that went to the playoffs. Also not the orioles that were being beat down for years and years. So “stats vs certain teams” are some of the most useless stats ever. Does the UNIFORM beat him? he cant pitch against guys in pinstripes or wearing orange?

Lets say theres a team that loses 8 straight to another team (it happens)…is that to say despite roster turnover, theyll NEVER beat them again? The Red Sox and Rays were horrible against the Yankees for the 1st part of the decade and the 90s…does that mean theyll always suck against the yankees? recent history has disproved that theory.

Ha i just did my homework and EVERYONE in the AL East has at “least” a .300+ team average against Mark Buehrle!! And trust me they are not just hitting singles against this guy and we aint talking about 4 at bats here either. Career wise he has stunk up the place against the East and i personally cant wait to see him get smoked next year. Its going to be great and the best part? oh thats easy, you got him for years to come!! Thank you jays! hahahahahaaha

1. he tried to stay in the AL..signed there..but was TRADED to the AL against his will. so “he should have stayed in the NL”…he didnt have a choice.

2. The AL east is like any division now. Baltimore is decent, but could fall back anytime. Tampa Bay has an anemic offense (the only thing Buehrle is gonna face). Boston is in a state of flux and has been terrible. hes ON the Jays. That leaves just the Yankees to be a legit threat. Sounds like any division to me.

3. He came up through the AL central when the indians were still a juggernaut, faced good Twins teams, the Tigers run to the top..so its not like he’s coasted to his career stats

the jays still wont be any better then a 4th place team, not impressed with any of the deals they made so far. Cant wait to see Buehrle get hammered in the AL East, he has no chance playing there and will wish he stayed in the NL where he belongs.

Nats got him for an emergency infield job due to injuries and he is one slick fielder. Released him only when Desmond came off the DL, not because of any problem. Good luck to him, seemed like a quality guy.
