The Yankees have estimated that he should be available around June. But I think what they are trying do now is as they say manage expectations. BTW, and this is just my opinion IF the Yankees do resign he for any more then 1 year and it’s for more then $5MM per Granderson will NOT be re-signed at the end of the 2013 season. Heck in that case Granderson may not even make it through the 2013 as a Yankee.

The Yankees can NOT afford to Martin making $7MM +/-, re-sign Cano and also re-sign Granderson and still get under the $189MM Tax Threshold in 2014 it just isn’t possible.

As far as Russell Martin is concerned, I’m quite sure he’s coming back. Cashman has said that bringing him back is personal for him. Unless Martin gets a ridiculous offer elsewhere, he’s coming back for sure. Probably 3 yrs at 21million.
